Sherry Pardy is a full-time Mom and writer, who lives on the shoreline of Southeastern Connecticut with her husband Don and 2-year-old twins, Max and Sara.
After professional stints in the insurance industry and finance, Sherry began a new career path in broadcasting. In 2002, she became the Director of Promotions and Afternoon on-air personality for a local radio station, where she hatched several large-scale events and entertained the local masses during the Afternoon Drive.
During the summer of 2004, Sherry harnessed her vast collection of business and life skills into her own business creation, Giftboxer.com, an online retail space specializing in affordable gift boxes filled with occasion-specific gifts. She designed everything from the business plan, to marketing strategies and product design.
That same year, after being diagnosed with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome), Sherry began a deeply personal therapeutic journal chronicling her journey through various stages of infertility.
Giftboxer closed its virtual doors in 2005 during Sherry’s pregnancy with twins, as her rapidly growing belly hindered her ability to remain upright and conscious, let alone run a successful business. In July of that year, Max and Sara were born, and Sherry embarked on her journey as a full-time Mom of twins.
Sherry attended Emerson College in Boston, where she majored in Mass Communication/Television Production. While there, she pledged Zeta Phi Eta, a professional co-ed fraternity in the Communication Arts and Sciences and worked as a Resident Assistant.
Between student loan payments, Sherry enjoys sewing, reading books without pictures and teaching her kids new tricks.
