As a writer a wife and a mother, Sandra stays busy on her island in the Indian Ocean. Her four children range in age from almost 40 to almost 3 and one granddaughter ... six-years-old at this writing ... rounds out the kid field nicely.

Two of her four children were adopted as infants from Cambodia, a circumstance that not only brought great joy to and a renewed appreciation for the absorbent qualities of diapers, but also a passion for the world’s children and a determination to protect and defend the option of adoption.

In addition to other work, Sandra has been writing professionally on adoption-related issues since 2005 and is the author of two books, "The Adoption.com Guide to US Private Infant Adoptions", and a collection of short works, "Papaya ... and other seeds".

One of her stories has been made into the short film "Wish".
