Thomas the Tank Engine is coming to a town near you! We caught up with the Day Out with Thomas: Leader of the Track Tour 2011 event at the Oklahoma Railway Museum on September 25th. And our Junior Correspondent had a fabulous time!

Thomas and Friends Deliver the Fun!

What can you expect form the day out with Thomas? According to our special correspondent's mom, the kids had a great time. It was well organized and the train ride itself ran according to schedule. Most importantly, the kids enjoyed everything and thought the characters were real.

Activities for the Kids Include:

  • Jupiter Jumps
  • magic shows
  • tattoos for the kids
  • clowns making
  • balloon animals
  • and lots of Thomas-related activities

Everyone could get their picture taken with Sir Topham Hat and Thomas the Tank Engine. Storytellers read Thomas books and kids could watch a continuous running of Thomas videos. Even with all that, the event doesn't come off as too commercial. That said, the gift shop — though not over the top — is something parents need to figure into the budget.

Here's our Junior Correspondent sharing his vast knowledge of trains!
