What kind of milk comes from purple cows? Purple milk, of course! Add a few drops of red and blue food coloring to the milk carton to give kids a colorful surprise when they pour a glass for breakfast. To make Monster Milk, and blue and yellow — or red and yellow to make Carrot Top Calcium. Remember that this works best with an opaque milk carton!

An Apple a Day

Carefully create a small hole in an apple using a clean knife or scissors. Add a drop of lemon juice to prevent browning. Insert a gummy worm half-way into the hole. You may want to use a toothpick to help to push the worm in. Tuck into your child's lunch, along with a few extra gummy worms, for a squirmy surprise!

Pick up edible candy eyeballs in the cake decorating section of your local craft store. Use a bit of peanut butter or butter to add them to the outside of a sandwich. Tuck in a card for a lunch-time laugh!

Fish and Chips

parenting squad | fake fish and chips

This prank works especially well for kids who aren't fond of seafood. First, declare that fish and chips are a traditional April Fools' Day after-school snack. When the groaning has subsided, serve a bowl of Swedish fish and vanilla wafer "fries." You'll have instant fish lovers!
