Even if you don't like football, there's just something about Super Bowl Sunday that can turn you into a temporary fan. Whether it's the competition, the halftime show or the commercials that you're excited for, there are plenty of reasons to have fun — and no reason why your kids can't get in on it.

1. Give Them Someone to Cheer For!

Let your children choose a team to cheer for even if your family's favorite team isn't playing. You can flip a coin or choose a team based on proximity. It doesn't matter how you choose, but once you do, print the team's logo and make decorations to hang in your house to show your new team spirit. The kids will love the excitement that comes with cheering on a team.

2. Stock Up on Super Bowl Printables

There are so many fun and educational printables that can be downloaded and printed for free. It's easy to do a quick online search, or click here to check out some of our favorites.

3. Play Commercial Scavenger Hunt

Kids love games, and prizes too. Get some small prizes from the dollar store and then create a scavenger hunt list of things you might see in commercials such as a car, an iPad, a horse, a cat, etc. Assign points to each item based on how common they are and have the children keep track during commercials.

4. Cute Snack: Almonds and Macadamia Nuts

Fun football themed snacks make the party extra fun for kids and adult alike. We love these almond footballs and macadamia helmets. They're almost do cute to eat!

5. Won-Ton Mozzarella Sticks

This twist on a classic appetizer is simple to make. It uses only three ingredients and only takes 30 minutes to make. Check them out, and other snacks too, right here.

6. Classic Black Bean Dip

Black bean dip is not just delicious, but it packs in some healthiness too. Easier than you might think to make, this recipe is perfect for fueling up during the big game.

Happy Super Bowl 2015! May your bellies be full, your laughter be loud, and your favorite team score the winning touch down!
