Lela, I agree with you completely. I happen to be a horrible speller myself and did have problems with it in school and in the ways my teachers treated me. However, I have managed to graduate with my Masters and do a number of other things very well. I would not worry about your daughter - doesn't sound like you are and I feel your frustration is very warrented.
