I think part of the problem
Submitted by Rhonda on April 7, 2008 - 19:02.
I think part of the problem is that we don't hear the general medical community say that things like mercury (contained in some vaccinations) are at all dangerous to inject in the human body. Seriously? I know we all live with a bunch of toxins in the environment and our bodies, and I have no idea how much mercury is safe to put in a child. But with all the warnings about tuna in pregnancy, and old mercury thermometers, and lead paint in toys, it is confusing to hear that mercury and other toxins in vaccinations poses little harm. I too would like to see more support for a vaccination schedule that is more spread out, especially in a country where many of the diseases are not huge problems as in decades past. I would also like to understand it is required for children to have shots for things like Hepatitis B to go to school. This isn't a disease that is spread by casual contact.
