parent centered vs. child centered home
Submitted by Sarah (Genesis Moments) on February 14, 2008 - 17:58.
Congrats on your first parenting article! I guess with Ezzo, I got more out of the reminder to balance who is in charge - the kids or the parent than all the rigid routines. Like one reader, I took a lot with a grain of salt, using what worked and throwing away the rest. I agreed with not to giving a kid valuable items as play toys (remotes, etc.) but rigid schedules get out of hand and may not meet the needs of that child who may have any number of health or other issues to be addressed. Instinct rules! If not, go ask Grandma and take her advice with a grain of salt too!
