The refrigerated kind is the best for retaining the live cultures, so I hear. Also, if you can stand it, take apple cider vinegar every morning in a glass of water. Just mix two teaspoons and chug it down. I take it three times a day when I really need the help. Some swear (I'm one of them) that you won't get sick if you take it through flu and cold season religiously. I like the Bragg's Organic brand. It will keep you regular and flush you out.
